The shroud of Turin Jeff Minter
I wrote this little demo to try out a technique called Perlin Noise (invented by Ken Perlin), which is commonly used to generate natural looking clouds or terrain.
Originally I'd used a blue and white colour palette to create clouds, but I found them quite boring. I then switched to a psychedelic colour scheme and added the horizontal and vertical mirroring for a kaleidoscopic effect. The final touch was palette cycling to make the pattern appear to move.
